Is It Natural?

So I am sure that everyone has taken notice to Jennifer Hudson's recent weight loss. She has come a long way. She looks amazing. She is inspiration for people such as myself that want to lose weight. Question is, is her weight loss all natural? She is not a naturally skinny girl so of course it would be a little bit more difficult for her to lose it. I don't know a whole lot about Weight Watchers but I do know that many celebrities swear by it. It probably works well but does it work so well that you go from a size 22 to almost a 0 almost instantly. I am just curious to know what other thinks about her weight loss. Do you think that shes using something else to aid in her weight loss? Surgery, pills, or some other treatment?

The Goal

I just realized that I did not post any goals or even a beginning weight. Well I couldn't find the scale to weigh myself. I am not just saying that because Im embarrassed to share my weight lol. So when I do find my scale I will share how much I weigh. I do know that my goal is to lose 40 to 50 pounds and KEEP IT OFF. I am so sick of being fat. So this has got to be a permanent thing.

Dieting is not an Option

So as I mentioned before, dieting just does not work for me. I think its a mental thing to be honest with you. So while I am trying to lose weight, I am not going to diet. Instead, I am just going to choose the foods I eat wisely. When it comes to food, the flat out issue is I LOVE TO EAT. I would be lying if I said I don't live to eat. If it tastes good, its going to be in my mouth lol. That didn't sound right, but hey its true. Ironically my favorite foods are sushi and pho. Two things that aren't all that bad for you. I think what gets me is that I love bread in every way shape and form. Bread is my weakness. I know that my love for bread is what packs on the pounds. Along with my love bread I have a passion for coffee. I drink coffee for the taste. Not the caffeine effect it has. When I drink coffee, I always say that I am not a real coffee drinker because I have to have my sugar and my half and half inside of it. I think that this is also whats packing the pounds on me. Now I am not one of those people that drinks pop Thank God. If I drank pop I would be the hugest person in this world. Hands down. I do drink juice though which has a lot of sugar inside of it. So, my goal is to reduce how much of these things I consume. With my coffee I will try to cut out the sugar rather than the cream. I just can not drink black coffee lol. With juice, I am just going to consume so much within a week. Like a maximum of 20 ounces in a week.

The Before..

Ok, So I am the one on the far right.I chose this picture because it shows how fat  I am of course and some key things that I need to work on. My face is chunky, my arms are huge and my stomach is just ew lol. So This is my before picture. I still own this dress and will do my after picture in it as well. Just to see if there really is a difference.

So the Journey Officially Begins

So I woke this morning and guess what I did? I worked out!!! Yes I said it. Worked out. In my household we have COX cable. I don't care for it too much, but I do like using the ON DEMAND feature. OD has many free workouts available. Today I did Denise Austins 15 minute cardio burn. Doesn't sound like much but it was a pretty decent routine for someone that's getting back into the swing of things. I enjoyed this workout. It got my heart rate up and it focused on every part of the body. I also recommend Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I did this DVD almost everyday last summer and I did see some results. Jillian Michael's doesn't play lol. Oh, I also worked out on an empty stomach. I read an article on how to have a hot body like a stripper and this was one of the things they said to do. So I did it. After I did my workout I took my Women's Active Vitamins from GNC, and I also took OxyElite from GNC which is a thermogenic that aids in weight loss. I also took biotin, but I take that just to keep my hair looking luscious :-). I will post separate post on workout DVDs and products that I have used and liked and some of the ones I did not care for so much. Oh and that wonderful before picture will posted today.

The Beginning

OK so not to sound conceited or anything but I know that I am not an ugly girl; and even though I don't think I am not ugly, I feel that I could feel and look a WHOLE lot better if I were a wee bit more thin. OK not a wee bit, more like a lot of wee bits lol. Now there are a lot of pretty bigger girls but being BIG isn't for me. So I am starting this blog in hopes that it will help me lose weight. I have too many cute girls in my closet to not being wearing them. I have tried many diets and I will be OK on them for awhile, then I either get lazy or I just feel that they aren't working for me anymore. I used to be really good at working out and staying consistent with it. I don't know what happened. I guess life is what happened. But maybe this blog will get me the motivation I need to start working out again and sticking with it. I will post pictures of my progress and blog about the exercises I love the most. Don't be surprised if you see me mention Zumba alot along with Reggaeton music. Just two of my favorite things lol. Well. That's it for now. I will be posting my first before picture tomorrow. Wish me luck!!
